From Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8, Northmount brings strong academics together with the formation of character and faith in a close-knit community.

Northmount exists to provide boys with an education designed around how they learn and grow. An all-boys environment is not simply a matter of who attends the school; it shapes its teaching, culture and relationships. Boys benefit from clear instruction, purposeful activity, meaningful challenge and broad opportunities to participate, take appropriate risks and discover new strengths.

At the heart of Northmount is a Catholic liberal arts education. Boys build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while engaging seriously with literature, history, science, mathematics, religion and the arts. Our teachers combine clear instruction with discussion, purposeful practice and hands-on application, helping students acquire knowledge, think carefully and become increasingly independent learners.

Academic learning at Northmount is part of a broader work of formation. Through the Catholic life of the school, the explicit teaching of virtues, Advisory, leadership and service, boys are encouraged to reflect on their choices, accept responsibility and recognize that their gifts are meant to contribute to the lives of others.

This is an important moment in Northmount’s history. The opening of our expanded and renewed campus gives the school new spaces in which to teach, gather and grow, while our work toward accreditation with the Middle States Association is strengthening the practices that support our mission. Together, these developments allow Northmount to build confidently upon its established strengths while preparing for its next chapter.
