Senior School (grades 6 to 8) students enjoy the best of two worlds. Their academic timetable resembles that of a secondary student, with subject teachers and specialists in all disciplines. However, they retain the stability of a core teacher, with whom they meet three times a day. Senior School students enjoy the full range of sports and co-curricular activities and outdoor education. During the Senior School years, the students' minds are maturing and they enjoy gaining insight into the body of knowledge that they have accumulated. They are yearning to exercise judgement, analyse arguments and engage in debate. Our teachers lead the students to channel these new intellectual skills towards sustained discussion and analysis. They challenge students to see the inherent logic, the big picture, in a given discipline in order to prepare them for reasoned, organized self-expression at the secondary level. |
