Libertas in Veritate

Each Northmount boy knows that character is not personality. Character comprises virtues that must be practised daily.  Our school motto, "Libertas in Vertitate," or "freedom in truth," captures the goal of a Northmount education: a young man who is mature because he embraces freedom as a gift to be used positively.

Our motto expresses the relationship between character, virtue and freedom that underlies all that we do at Northmount.  Like learning a musical instrument, a boy's growth in character demands teaching and practice. The more one practises virtue the more freedom one has to do what is right and choose what is true.

Northmount graduates thrive in their high school careers and beyond because they pursue a love of learning, find pleasure in helping others and make responsible use of their gifts and talents.
