Assessment & Evaluation

Our goal is to help you find the best educational environment for your son. Northmount's size is, from our parents' perspective, a real benefit. A small school is, however, not appropriate for every child. When conducting the testing, we recommend that you leave your son with us for the school day.  Having your son spend the day with us adds a natural element to the assessment and evaluation process. He joins his regular grade class with a "host" boy, and does his tests while classmates are working on in-class homework assignments.

We find that this approach helps prospective students stay more relaxed when doing their tests, and we benefit from seeing them interact with their peers.  Within two weeks of assessment and evaluation, we get in touch and provide feedback. At that time, we might extend an Offer of Admission, decline to offer admission or suggest some additional testing.

Upon acceptance of a student, a non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to guarantee placement, together with post-dated cheques for the balance of tuition.
